Ugly little dandelion
Where is your proud yellow head
Your vibrant green skirt?
Just look at all your sisters
Growing happily in the dirt
Like Sun’s littlest mirrors
They soak up her love
All they need is here
Below, around, up above
Why wouldn’t you do the same?
Why so gloomy, pale and small?
Don’t you like the soil,
The Sun’s caress, the sweet rainfall?
Why is nothing enough?
What could you possibly lack?
Don’t know. I’m doing my best
says the orchid in a sidewalk crack.
